Currency symbol change

I am sure I am missing a very simple thing here but I can not find it anywhere!

How do I change the symbol shown from $ to Â£ when the format is "currency"?

Enable [PHP]->[General Options]->[Set locale] , click "..." button to set your currency. See PHP Settings in help file.

I had got the Â£'s to appear instead of the $

BUT a local upgrade to new hard drives, a new install then a new generation of files has reverted the pound sign back to $ and no matter what I try I can not get the currency symbol to change back to Â£

What have I done wrong?

How can I fix it?

Double check your project setting (as danielc said), make sure you have saved the project and re-generated the scripts.

If you csutomize the language file (under C:\Program Files (x86)\PHPMaker 10\languages), make sure you have re-generated the langauge file and re-uploaded to your server.

This is now resolved.....I think I needed to tick the UTF-8 output files???

Once ticked the dollars became Â£'s

YIPEE!!!!!
