Since 25th of May in the European Union is a new law about the privacy of personal data (GDPR). For owners of website it can be a great problem if the use Third-Party-Tools that collect data about the user.
Now would be a good time to think about Open Street Map as alternative to Google Maps.
Another point: The javascript for Google Maps is loaded on each page, even the login-page. If a site is using the Maps-Feature only as Backend-Application for the Sysadmin or a few user, all users are affected from this. Please change the code to that behavior, that it is only loaded when it is really needed.
