I am currently running a multi language project, and I find that the language switcher a little too big (especially when using mobile device)...
Maybe, the switcher can be changed into a drop down menu shown in the menu bar, or a list of national flags placed in the menu bar, any idea?

From what I've learned, it's best to list the languages in their native characters rather than pinning them to flags. Using flags sometimes confuses and alienates users due to multiple languages in a country, best to let them choose.
