Field Calculation as selectable menu

for example:
Item: Varchar
Price: Integer
Quantity: Integer
Total: Integer

i want field Total= auto calculate from (Price x Quantity)

can you make it as selectable facility in field properties, without using any custom coding, because i think its a common/simple/basic needs

  I have purchased the software for nearly 10 years ago..

I want more simple / standard excel capable and access capable calculations and subtotals, math + - / * ( ) formula based on various fields on the fly and also to post to a subtotal / grand total table / field if needed for items that are joined
