Combine PHPMaker & PHP Report Maker

Post by strustam »

PHP Maker very good application for creating forms to ADD/EDIT and etc.
PHP Report Maker very good for report creation. But, there are difficulties to create report from the tables where ID stores instead of selected string from lookup table, especial for multilingual projects. This features very good realized in PHPMaker.

It will be very good to combine all the best features to single Integrated Development Environment.

My respect to e.World Team
With best regards

This is a great idea. Finally data entry and reporting should be realized in one single application.

I vote for this too. It does not matter if we must pay the combination price for PHPMaker + PHP Report Maker, instead of using two separate product and later we must integrate one to another as a result.

The other approach is to provide three types of license as follows:

  1. PHPMaker (individually)
  2. PHP Report Maker (individually)
  3. PHPMaker + PHP Report Maker become a single product (only one .exe; let's say its name become "PHPMaker and Report")

Many of us will choose the third option, so please provide this type of license.

+1 indeed it is required. Why maintain two separate installation and project files.

It is really very time taking to generate report import into phpmaker and again generate. Please provide single product.

I totally agree on this "joint product". I use a combination for the last 5-6 years.
Well, for me the is even more time-consuming to adjust security levels!.

It seems, this has been implemented in PHPMaker v2020. Thank you.

Great work done. Thank you
I admire more and more the PHPMaker

My respect for the TEAM

I would like to clarify the basic idea of combining products.
The difficulty with the PHPReportMaker was that in order to generate reports it was necessary to prepare a view and replace all the IDs with the necessary expressions from the lookup table. It was not possible to create a multilingual report, which, when switching the interface language, also changes the language of the report content. There is such a possibility in the Add/Edit forms in select-fields. It would be much more convenient if the reports were also manipulated at the ID level, and when the interface language was switched, the content of the report changed according to the language
