What are the options for displaying integer value in table as custom icon?

Table actions have filed status. If status is 1 then checked.png else unchecked.png

In help file under filed setup is note only image files can use the Image View Tag. Other files such as PDF cannot be displayed as image. If the field contains mixed file types, do not use Image View Tag.
What are my options?

I solved problem with aditional field in table for displaying image (icon).
