Dropdown Selection Lists in lookup table

For using Dropdown Selection Lists with check box in a lookup table field, for choosing more than one values, how is the field type setting in MySQL DB?
I try with VARCHAR, but when I select only one value in list, result is that the field saved all values showed in Dropdown Selection Lists, not only one or some of all.
What's it wrong?

What PHPMaker version are you using? Have you already tried the latest version, v2018.0.5?
