Display SQL Error Message returned after ew_Execute()

Dear all,
i have a custom page where i run some sql statements using ew_Execute() in PHPMaker 12 but i get no error message displayed on the custom page when the SQL fails.
Does anyone know how to display the SQL error message in PHPMaker 12?
I would be glad if someone can help me out on this one.

Enable the option "Debug" in [Tools] -> [Advanced Settings] then generate all files and try again.
