If you enable "Multi-language" in your PHPMaker project, then you need to translate your field caption from "Tools" -> "Multi-Language Property Editor" -> "Field Captions".

Make sure you have already selected "utf-8" from "HTML" -> "General" -> "Charset" directive,
Make sure you have already enabled "UTF-8 output files" from "Tools" -> "Advanced Settings",
Make sure you have already re-generated ALL the script files again.
