Can't use columns in chart unless shown on report

Postby porksmash » Tue Aug 18, 2009 12:40 am

I have a column in my data set that I don't want to show in the table view of a detail/summary report, but want to use on an axis in a chart of the same report. As soon as I uncheck 'show' it disappears from the field name selection for the chart. Is there a way to hide the column in the table but still use it in the chart?

I am using ASP Report Maker 2.0.

Currently this is not supported. We will consider in future versions.

Is this yet supported in 9.0? This would be very helpful.

You can use Startup Script (Client Scripts -> Table-Specific -> Report -> Startup Script) to hide the field, e.g:

$('td[data-field="<Field>"]').hide; // Replace <Field> with actual field name
