Postby maragoto » Tue Sep 19, 2017 10:33 pm

Hello

I just download and open my 2017 project in the new 2018 version.

I open the login page and when I submit the login information ocurrs this:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01ca'
Variable uses an Automation type not supported in VBScript: 'TypeName'
/admin2018/aspfn15.asp, line 11494

the lines are:

' Is dictonary
Function IsDictionary(obj)
IsDictionary = False
If VarType(obj) = vbString And TypeName(obj) = "JScriptTypeInfo" Then <!-- THIS LINE IS 11494 -->
If obj.ToString() = "Dictionary" Then
IsDictionary = True
End If
End If
End Function

1. What is your database type? Post the table schema (with data types) of your login table.
2. Try add "On Error Resume Next" to the function.

I use the ON ERROR Resume Next in the function and now I have other error:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01a8'
Object required: 'obj'
/admin2018/aspfn15.asp, line 9538

the error is in:

Public Function Encode(ByRef obj)
Dim buf, i, c, g

' Handle JScript Dictionary '***
If IsDictionary(obj) Then
Encode = obj.ToJson() <-- line 9538 -->
Exit Function
End If
Set buf = Server.CreateObject("Scripting.Dictionary")

I'm using SQLExpress and the schema is:

[dbo].[Tbl_users](
[id] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL,
[fullname] [nvarchar](50) NULL,
[username] [nvarchar](50) NULL,
[password] [nvarchar](50) NULL,
[userlevel] [numeric](18, 0) NULL,
[activo] [smallint] NULL
)

Please change your user level field to an integer field. We will handle in the next build.

[userlevel] [numeric](18, 0) NULL,

to:

[userlevel] [smallint] NULL,
